This age gap... could be also be a factor of maturity.
I will be 37 next month, yet... I can tell you that up until my very late 20's I wasn't all that mature. I think men mature far later than women for the most part. Most women from the FSU I have come in contact with are EXTREMELY mature for their age. There are certainly exceptions, but I think this is more the rule than exception.
Then the question is one of energy.... I know I certainly don't have the same level of energy that I had at say 27. If I were to get involved with a Russian bride of say 20.... She would kill me! Perhaps literally too. In the Ukraine this February, I finally got to meet a very nice lady who is 20. Let me tell you this... she made me feel like 25 again, and she is as mature as a 30 year old AW. However, I am not 25.. and while I am told I look young for my age, and certainly look far younger than the average 36 year old UM: I am still more than 16 years her senior. That age diffrence is hard to overcome.
Folks, don't get me wrong.... SHE IS A TOTAL KNOCKOUT!!! In her miniskirt, stockings, and high heel boots... But what quality of life can I offer her being far older? She is into the things many women her age are: Dancing, clubs, parties... etc. I have outgrown most of these: some by age, some from with help of the Army (bad knee). Would it be fair to her? Quite frankly, with that age diffrence, and although we did get on very well, I felt a little bit like a fool robbing the cradle.

there is a small problem in this logic. Women reach their prime in their 30's while men reach theirs in their 20's. So following the logic of your statement the women would actually be seeking younger men. Unless it is experience that they seek. ;)

Yes but not in the same quantities. :) Someone told me not to get in a drinking contest with a RW - this is also true. Overall I'd say there is an obvious lifestyle issue here.
I read an article recently that said many young RM were dying in Army basic training because they were in such bad health and things seem to be getting worse for RM. I don't know if it was an exaggeration but something isn't right with a life expectancy of 50 something. My assumption is that they are aging prematurely due to bad habits. Why worry about marrying a WM 10 years older since he's in better health and will live longer (on average)?

I have recently started the thread "Written to over 500 women and finding gold" in the newbie section and here is what I found: The majority of the women that respnded to me was 25 and younger even though I written women up to 39 in age. I'm 35. I have also done better corresponding with women 10 or more years younger than I. I admit I have posed as a normal and possibly a poorer man than most and that could be the reason older women aren't interested in me as they could be looking for more established men. The women I have written to aren't as desperate for a man as the norm as I consider them the ones in high demand. Speaking English, childless, and beautiful (at least in my eyes).
I believe most of these women I've written to have many guys writing them and they can be very choosy. They don't have to pick me, a (normal) man 10 or more years older than them with 2 kids unless they actually like my appearance and the way I write my letters. My wallet shouldn't be on their mind but I wouldn't rule out the green card. One gal under 25 even models in Europe, this gal can pick any man she wants and could get married in a heart beat, she's already had 2 ex-fiancee's :eek: , you'd all recognize her if you saw her pic, it's at most marriage sites, and for a model, she's more down to earth than one would think. Why does she want to meet me? Maybe she is attracted to older guys besides finding me compatable in personality.
As far as my little experiment went, I figure the avg age of women I've written to is about 26 and the avg age of those responded is about 24 and the 4 final women I'm contemplating visiting because the rest dumped me or I dumped them is almost 22. Why I have clicked with younger gals during this run is beyond me because I would think I'm a pretty mature man but one thing in common with these 4 under 25 gals is that none visits night clubs and seems to be serious with lifes issues so I guess they are more mature than the norm for their ages thus looking for older guys that are compatable with them.
Could we throw all the studies and stats out the window? I don't know but from what I'm coming to understand, it's doesn't seem to be a problem to date women with an age gap of 10-15 years. How that age gap will do in marriage is another story.
