In the real business world one is not going to sell their product very well with these words. Especially with me. They don't know if it is one or two minor flaws and they admitted that non-volunteer men may be VERY different than the self selected sample. Different men can make different decisions and choices in their lives which can change the results of any study.
The surveys numbers could be right on with a little luck but the survey sucks even though some have claimed it is the best out there.
There is no doubt in my mind with a larger % of 18 year old women than 19 or 20 year women getting married in that study, some of the men in that survey were not looking for a young woman to get married to, they were looking for a child that just turned legal.
You have said this study didn't search out porn site men but two weeks ago you started a thread in the Russian bride Dating agency discussion titled "This is what agencies think guys are looking for!". In it you mention how they attract perverts using the Google search engine when they type words like nude teenagers, sexy 11 year old girls, sex with young girls and many more words of the like. The MOB industry searched these pervert guys out and I am sure they are in that study you have faith in saying it is me and my peers.

My flesh had crawled too knowing that study can't tell the difference from the avg man and the high % of perverts that may skew the numbers and people saying it's me and my peers that participated.
I am very aware of numbers on this issue more than you think and I can comprehend studies rationally on what they are saying and what potential flaws are present, I just can't accept the study you provided because I feel some men were looking for a wife and some were looking for a young sex partner and the study can't tell the difference. Some guys being "MARRIED" gives them the right to have sex full time to fulfill their fantasies at home instead of going on a sex tour occasionally and UNFORTUNATELY gets them qualified to participate in a study supposedly designed for the avg marriage between AM/RW. Until it can tell the difference, the study can't be taken seriously. Sorry.

My friend will NEVER understand what you and others are trying to communicate to him. That the study is flawed in many ways - sampling is just one. If you poll 100 career criminals in a maximum security prison... how many do you think will tell you that they are completely innocent? :chuckle:

A couple of quotes from David Buss for those who remain unconvinced by the simple fact that as men get older they tend to prefer much younger women.
