I don't know why it happens more. I guess perhaps the older men have heard the negative advice from people and their pride taakes over when the young wife is not as grateful as she should be. Perhaps younger men tend to count their losses and start over.All i do know is I have never heard of a tradgedy where the couple was of the same age or close. But perhaps I am wrong. If anyone knows of one please post it.

Don't know if this is a true "tragedy", but if ending up in a women's shelter with a concussion after being pushed so hard that your head punches a hole in the drywall of your AM's grandmother's basement apartment, then getting back together with him and becoming pregnant shortly before permanently returning to Russia qualifies, then I know one (both were in their mid 20's.)

I think if we posted all of the stories of abuse on this Russian ladies forumwe know we would be here foever:). The Philippines does not have marriage agencies(illigal now) and warns a lot of women of men who are abusers because through experience they realized there are a lot of bad out there.
I am talking about the murders or ones that hit the news. Lena H. Sun a Filipina was killed. Much older husband and just heard of a recent one on Current affair where the husband was a Pharmacist in New Jersey. There was another incident were the elderly husband from Seattle shot and killed his young Filipina wife in the courtroom as they were filing for divorce.
. Besides Indell King and Irena was a RW who lured her older husband to Russia and then her and her lover killed him.
Stuart Barney 60 killed his 26 year old bride outside a child care center in New Jersey as she wanted a divorce and was picking up their 4 year old son.
Last year in the news was a story about a latina living in the boondocks who was in early 20's and had her elderly husband who was crippled shot her.
We have heard the story of the woman RW suing the Agency beacause they did not warn her about her husbands violent past. again age difference. There was also a story on this list where a member who married a very young girl and had children was abusing her.
I personally know a lot of age-gap relationships where the women are not only Rw,but latinas,Isreali's,middle Easterns. many older men are going back to their country for a young wife after divorce or for other reasons. It is not only AM.Seems most of the marriages are not going well after a few years in the U.S. One middle Eastern guy I know actually brags that he keeps his young wife in line "his way" . She is obviously unhappy, but I could tell from day 1 she was not in love,but he had a green card and her family thinks he is a catch. I think a lot of the older guys think with the little head and believe a young girl is there for love and suprised when she does not fall in love with them..
I met an acquaintance at the supermarket awhile back that cannot get a date if his life depended on it. He pulled out a picture of a 19 year old girl from Isreal he is soon to marry. The girl was HOT!!!!! He is 47 and looks wise needs help. I hope for his sake he is luckier than the other guys I know with looks and age gap differences. most are not happy. One guy told me he knows his wife does not love him, but stays with her because he is crazy for her.The funniest story I ever heard was a guy in his 40's that married a poor Cuban girl of 18 or so. She was here less than a week before she tried going back to Cuba. They would not let her back. She got stuck with him but left after 2 years. This is a guy who lived in a nice rich section of LA and was not poor. He called her ungrateful, but what do you really expect from a very young girl.
A lot of men may say some young girls are mature. I agree some are, but I also know no matter how mature she is most young women change their minds alot when it comes to what they search for in a life partner. What she wants at 20 is not what she will want at 30.
I know to an older woman(50's) who married a man 30 years her senior. She was not mourning him when he died and admitted it. She said she loved him dearly, but the romance of what she needed was over a long time ago. I asked why she married him. She told me she was 19 and he was near 50. Very good looking,wealthy and fit. She looked up to that sort of man in her youth. Never really had a giood relationship with her father.But time took it's toll and his age was not attractive anymore. She said as she grew older she began to want and crave the attention of men closer to her age. Her needs changed. Though she still loved him. Just not in the passionate way of a lover,more like a father who taught her alot about life.
She is now rich with lots of money to spare and loves younger men. I tease her and tell her there are lots of 20 year olds in Mexico and latin countries in search of a hot white sugar momma!:)
